Edna June Sanders, 64, of Williford, was born June 29, 1942, in Nettleton, Ark., the daughter of Virgil and Ila (Neely) Clark.
She died Jan. 12, 2007, at the NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
She was married to Benny Sanders on May 29, 1960, in Sitka, Ark. She worked many years as a pharmacist assistant before retiring from Hills Drug Store in Highland. She loved flowers and enjoyed working in her garden. She attended the Ash Flat Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Benny Sanders of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Steve Moore of Searcy; two sons and daughters-in-law, Clark and Karen Sanders of Cherokee Village and Jody and Terry Sanders of Cherokee Village; five sisters, Barbara Matlock of Illinois, Jean Keiser of Indiana, Mary Turley of Ozark Acres, Shirley Murphy of Hardy, and Carolyn Garner of Ozark Acres; six grandchildren, Rachel and Benjamin Moore, Anna and Grant Sanders and Monica and Summer Sanders; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Ila Clark; and one sister, Doris Polston.
The funeral services were held Jan. 15 at the Tri-County Funeral Home in Highland with Keith Gregson officiating. Burial followed in the Baker Cemetery near Ozark Acres with arrangements under the direction of the Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
The family requests memorials be made to the Paragould Children's Home or to the Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock.
