Emma Ellen Kramer, 69, of Ozark Acres died Aug. 30, 2002, at her home after a long battle with lung cancer.
Born in Tarma, Ky., she was the daughter of Henry and Lucille Daniels Phelps. She married Martin Kramer on Memorial Day in 1952 in Oaklawn, Ill. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year. Along with being a full-time loving mother and wife, she found time to be the assistant to the building commissioner in Alsip, Ill., for over 14 years. She was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include her husband, Martin J. Kramer Sr. of Ozark Acres; two sons -- Martin J. Kramer Jr. of Alsip, Ill., and Mike Kramer of Glesso, Wis.; two daughters and sons-in-law -- Donna and James Nash of Merril, Wis., and Diane and Vince Lucas of Posen, Ill; four sisters -- Norma DaMato of Beverly Hills, Fla., Dorthey Burgmann of Chicago, Henreitta Fries of Fountainhill, Ariz., and Rose Specht of Glendale Heights, Ill.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
The body was cremated. No service was held.
Arrangements were by the Heath Funeral Home, Oak Hill Chapel of Hardy.
