Ella Lou Hyslip, 76, of Ash Flat died March 23, 2003, at her home. She was born Feb. 26, 1927, in Ash Flat to Johnie Ray and Connie Faye Orr Nix. She was a homemaker and a member of the Ash Flat United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her father, Johnie Ray Nix; one son, Johnny Hyslip; one daughter, Ella Van Thompson; three grandchildren -- Amy Trivitt, Jason Hyslip and Grant Hyslip, and one great-granddaughter, Rachel Trivitt, all of Ash Flat; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother and her husband, Lewis Hyslip.
Services were March 25 at the Ash Flat United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry Morris and Johnny Carter officiating. Burial was in the Wiles Cemetery at Ash Flat with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Zack Branscum, Stan Witt, James K. Price, Floyd Rikard, Joe Cotham and Wayne Long.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eastern Ozarks Hospice of Cherokee Village.
