Edith Mary Luszczak, 81, of Cherokee Village died June 18, 2003, at Eastern Ozarks Regional Health System in Cherokee Village.
Born Oct. 10, 1921, in Chicago, she was the daughter of Robert and Margaret Kinsella and was married to Edward R. Luszczak. She worked as a bookkeeper in the retail industry and moved to Cherokee Village 17 years ago from Chicago. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, the Altar Society, the Cher-o-Bees, and the Home Extension Club. She was a volunteer for the Red Cross blood drives and Senior Citizens Center, and was a former member of the Highland Elks Lodge.
Survivors include three daughters -- Donna Rae Bachelor of Burbank, Ill., Susan Zeiert of Blue Island, Ill., and Patricia Wronski of Glen Ellyn, Ill.; two sisters -- Caroline Herter of Oakland, Ill., and Marie Chorley of Mountain Home; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
A memorial mass will be held at 8:15 a.m. July 11 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Cherokee Village with Father Kevin Atunzu and Deacon James Thompson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland.
The family requests memorials be sent to the Saint Vincent DePaul Society.
