Elsie Louise Wilson, 89, of Cherokee Village died Dec. 8, 2005. She was born Dec. 26, 1915, in St. Louis, Mo., daughter of Wilhelmina and Reinhold Seibold. She was sister to five brothers, Reinhold, Charles, William, Edwin and Robert; and mother of Marian Henderson, Linda Racette and William Henley; grandmother of four; great-grandmother of five; and wife of David L. Wilson.

Wilson was a woman of strength, faith and determination who was more concerned with the feelings and needs of others than with her own.

Wilson was a graduate, excellent student and recognized beauty of Granite City Senior High School in Illinois.

She married Raymond Henley in 1935. During World War II she worked with her mother in the family bakery while her husband and brothers served in the military.

In 1980 they moved to Cherokee Village where she became an active worker in the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, hospice, Friends of the Library and hospital auxiliary.

She was an avid bridge player and loved to cook and entertain family and friends in her home.

In 1987 she married David Wilson, and they had 18 years of love and companionship.
