Ena M. Church, 85, of Cherokee Village died Oct. 9, 2002, at Eastern Ozarks Regional Health System in Cherokee Village.
Born Dec. 19, 1916, in Lawrenceville, Ill., she was the daughter of Viola Freshley Phipps and Harry Phipps. She was a homemaker and a former bookkeeper for Farm Bureau Elevator.
Survivors include a son, William Buckler of Summerville, Fla.; two daughters -- Sue Schondel of Cherokee Village, and Grace Vereb of Summerville.; a brother, Harry Phipps of Florida; three sisters -- Beth Ramlow, Ellen Schaller and Lela Whitwham, all of Ohio; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Owen Church.
The funeral was Oct. 12 at Cherokee Village United Methodist Church with Jim West officiating. Burial followed in Swan Creek Cemetery at Mt. Clover, Ohio.
Arrangements were under the direction of Heath Funeral Home of Hardy.
