Eara Lee Wooldridge Nicholson, 77, of Jonesboro, formerly of Cherokee Village, died Oct. 19, 2003, at a Jonesboro hospital.
Born Jan. 19, 1926, at Cave City, she was the daughter of James "Jim" and Lillie Ann Wooldridge. She was a homemaker, enjoyed square dancing and round dancing and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Cherokee Village.
Survivors include a sister, Velma Howard of Cave City; a niece, Diane Wilkes of Cave City; two step-grandchildren, Carrie Cantrell of Austin, Texas, and Debrah Stanfield of Plano, Texas; three step-great-grandchildren -- Willie Cantrell of Austin, Texas, Emily Dox and Eryca Dox, both of Plano, Texas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, E.W. "Nick" Nicholson; a stepson, Ed Nicholson; and a nephew, Gary Howard.
The funeral was Oct. 22 at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with the the Rev. Kay Wiggins officiating. Burial was in Oaklawn Cemetery at Cherokee Village.
Arrangements were under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Dale Wooldridge, Ottis Wooldridge, Terry Wooldridge, Danny Wooldridge, Colonel D. Marlin and Jerry McCall.
Honorary pallbearers were Robert Wooldridge, Sonny Wilkes and Sonny Wooldridge.
