Ernest Reed, 51, of Hardy, formerly of Beverly, Ky., died Jan. 25, 2007, at his home.
He was born on April 23, 1955, in Beverly, the son of George and Edith (Shelly) Reed. He served in the United States Army from 1972 until 1975. He moved to Arizona in 1988 and married Bernice Diane Burnett in February of 1989. The Reeds moved to Arkansas in January of 2002 to Pochaontas. They bought land in Hardy in 2003, where they made their home.
Survivors include his wife, Bernice Diane Reed of the home; a son, Joshua D. Reed of the home; two daughters, Edith L. Reed and Sarah E. Reed, both of the home; one brother, Charles Reed of Glasgow, Ky; and his father, George Reed of Columbia, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith Reed.
The funeral services were held Jan. 29 at Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland with Bro. Steve Joyner officiting. Burial followed in the Eagle's Rest Cemetery near Hardy. Arrangemetns were under the direction of Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
Pallbearers were Harry Waldrup, Bill Burnett, Ron Dickey, James Jensen III, Raul Leon and Nathanial Clouse,
Honorary pallbearers were Charles Reed, David Curtis, Robert Burnett and George Reed.
