Ellen L. Slezak, 81, of Cherokee Village died Sept. 3, 2002, at Eastern Ozarks Regional Health System in Cherokee Village.
Born Aug. 18, 1921, in Battle Creek, Mich., she was a customer service representative in the banking industry for many years. She was a member of Strawberry River Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include a granddaughter, Tonya Andrews of Black Mountain, N.C.; a grandson, Mike Benike of Middleburg, Fla.; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Steven Slezak; and a daughter, Mary Lehman.
The funeral was Sept. 7 at Tri-County Cherokee Chapel in Highland with burial following at Oaklawn Cemetery.
Arrangements were by the Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland.
