Edith Viola Arnold of Salem, daughter of the late Henry Clark Boothe and Mattie Viola Walker Boothe, was born Oct. 13, 1908, in Lindsey, Okla. She died March 29, 2006, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home at the age of 97.
She was united in marriage to Floyd Arnold in the 1930s. They moved to Arkansas in the 1940s at the end of World War II. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Walker and Joanna Boothe of Sherman, Texas; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1968; brothers, Carl, John, Jack, Wayne, Erwin and Clovis and Delphine Boothe; and her father and mother.
Services were held March 31 at Cox-Blevins Chapel, with burial in Flora Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem.
