Ed "Pete" Wirth, son of Edward William Wirth Sr. and Zula Green Baker, died March 22 at Leavenworth, Va.
He was born Jan. 31, 1935, in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He spent most of his life in the Kansas City and surrounding areas. Wirth traveled frequently in search of quality antiques, coins and jewelry for his business, Wirth Quality Coin and Precious Metal Company. He was an expert in his field and maintained passion for his love of coins and antiques until his death.
He is survived by Rebecca Wirth, daughter, of Weston, Mo.; Edward William Wirth III, son, Carrolton, Mo.; Joshua Alexander Lauterbach, grandson of Weston, Mo; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in the Kansas City, Mo., and Wirth, Ark. area.
Memorial services for Pete Wirth will be held at 3 p.m. April 1 at the Wirth Cemetery at Wirth.
