Faye Spurlock Oyler, 89, of Bay died Aug. 22, 2002, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Born in Hardy, she lived most of her life in Bay. She was a homemaker and a member of Bay Church of Christ.
Survivors include a daughter, LaFon Oyler Aker of Brook-haven, Miss.; a son, Glenn Oyler of Jonesboro; two grandchildren -- Rick Oyler and Shannon Aker; and six great-grandchildren, Jason Oyler, April Oyler, Austin Oyler, Nicholas Oyler, Allison Aker, and Leslie Anne Aker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil E. Oyler; and by a grandson, Michael Oyler.
A service was Aug. 24 at Bay Church of Christ with Marvin Rickett officiating. A graveside burial service was held in Shiloh Cemetery near Ash Flat.
Pallbearers were Henry Rogers, Eddie Cooper, Mickey Spencer, Derrick Mink, Rickey Don Martin and Chad Colbert.
Honorary pallbearers were Marvin Elrod, Carroll Hundley, Larry Colbert and the elders of the Bay Church of Christ.
Arrangements were under the direction of Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Memorials may be made to the Bay Church of Christ.
