Fritz Lorentzen, 80, of Cherokee Village died April 30, 2004.
Born in Milwaukee, Wis., he was the son of Karen and Fritz Lorentzen of South Milwaukee, Wis.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Hargrave Lorentzen of Cherokee Village; a sister, Karen Soli of Menomonee Falls, Wis.; two sons -- David (wife Linda) of Middleton, Wis., Bryan (wife Cindy) of Franklin, Wis.; a daughter Barb (husband Tom) of Austin, Texas; two granddaughters -- Rebecca and Amanda of Middleton; a niece, Lynn Soli (husband Bruce Kamradr); and a dear friend, Michele Zindars of Middleton.
He achieved the level of Eagle Scout and served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific in World War II on the USS Rocky Mount. He was the owner of Parkway Floral in South Milwaukee for 30 years prior to his retirement to Cherokee Village in 1980. He was a member of the Cherokee Village Men's Golf Association, Cherokee Village Community Chorus and Cherokee Village Cordiacs. He was an active member and past president of Cherokee Village Lutheran Church.
A memorial service was May 3 at Cherokee Village Lutheran Church. Memorials can be donated to the Cherokee Village Lutheran Church.
