Frank Rogalski, 77, of Cherokee Village died May 10, 2003, at Franciscan Community Hospice in Crown Point, Ind.
Born Sept. 16, 1925, in Gary, Ind., he was the son of Stanley Rogalski and Mary Hecht Rogalski. He was a veteran of World War II.
Rogalski was a retired steel worker for U.S. Steel. He was a past member and past captain of the Lake of Four Seasons Volunteer Fire Department.
While living in Cherokee Village he was a member of the Cherokee Village Indians Lions Club. He was a life member and past commander of the VFW Post 4772 of Highland, and was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 454 of New Chicago, Ind.
Survivors include two daughters -- Sandra and Edward DeMars of Lake of Four Seasons/Crown Point, Ind., and Susan Rogalski of Mesa, Ariz.; a son, James Bedford of Crown Point, Ind.; four grandchildren -- Christina and her husband, Len Nakoff, Douglas and his wife, Lori DeMars, Michael Bedford and Rachel Bedford; four great-grandchildren -- Ryan DeMars, Mackenzie DeMars, Edward Nakoff and Lindsey Nakoff; a brother, Stanley Rogalski of Hebron, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Beverly C. Rogalski; and two sisters -- Connie Miecznikowski and Loretta Urycki.
A memorial mass was held May 16 at Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel in Highland with Father Tony Wilwerding officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland.
