Jeremy "Jerry" Richard Funk, 66, of Calico Rock died March 14, 2002, at his home near Calico Rock.
Born April 18, 1935, he was the son of Harold Richard and Mildred Ruth Brunner Funk in Houston, Texas. He was a retired soil conservationist, a member of the Arkansas Cattlemen's Association and a member of Calico Rock Cum-berland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia Funk of the home; two sons -- Robert Stafford of Ash Flat, and William Stafford of Hardy; two stepsons, Bruce Whitehead of Charlotte, N.C., and Brian Whitehead of Green Forest; three daughters -- Nancy Scott of Bismark, Tracy Funk of Fayetteville, N.C., and Jennifer Brickell of Memphis; two stepdaughters, Belinda Starkey of Memphis, and Beverly Whitehead of Mountain Home; four grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Peggy Funk; and a brother, John Funk.
A memorial service was March 17 at Calico Rock Cum-berland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Wayne Wood officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Howard Funeral Home of Calico Rock.
