Frank John Vlcek Jr., 88, of Hardy died April 10, 2003, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.
He was born in Chicago, the son of Frank John and Francis Shmick Vlcek. He was a machinist and a Catholic.
Survivors include his wife, Florence Sikora Vlcek of Hardy, whom he married in 1942; a son, Robert Vlcek of Ballwin, Mo.; two daughters, Lynnda Welter of Cherokee Village, and Judith Doyle of Burwick, Maine; two brothers -- Rudolph Vlcek of Calumet City, Ill., and Laddie Vlcek of Medford Wis.; a sister, Martha Look of Des Plains, Ill.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a brother.
A memorial mass will be April 25 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Cherokee Village with Father Kevin Atunzu officiating.
