Clara Faye Wade, 68, of Ash Flat died June 6, 2002, at her residence.
Born July 4, 1933, in Henderson, Tenn., she was the daughter of Ellis L. Cupples and Onie M. Cupples. She married Ruby Wade Jr. March 9, 1953, in Corinth, Miss. She moved with her family to Sharp County in January 1971, from the Chicago area, and attended services at the World of Life Tabernacle in Hardy.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter and her husband, Nancy A. and Lynn Hicks of Marshfield, Mo.; three sons and their wives -- Darrell and Pamela Wade of Thayer, Mo., David and Janet Wade of Cherokee Village, and Joseph and Joanna Wade of Cherokee Village; two brothers -- Kenneth Cupples of Aurora, Ill., and Troy Cupples of Hudson, Ill.; a sister -- Doris Moncham of Rockford, Ill.; 12 grandchildren -- Jeremy Wade, Richard Wade, Kimberly Wade Alexander, Nathan Hicks, Timothy Hicks, Bradley Hicks, Justin Hicks, Jennifer Wade, Micah Wade, Stefanie Wade, Candace Wade and Victoria Wade; and four great-grandchildren -- Mariah Wade, Jerren Wade, Konnor Alexander and Jared Alexander.
The funeral was June 9 at World of Life Tabernacle in Hardy. Burial followed in Eagles Rest Cemetery near Hardy with the Rev. John LaFontaine and the Rev. Cloyce Beecham officiating.
Pallbearers were Jeremy Wade, Micah Wade, Richard Wade, Nathan Hicks, Justin Hicks and Bradley Hicks.
Honorary pallbearers were Timothy Hicks, Johnny Alexander and Robert Smith.
Memorials may be made to World Life Tabernacle Fellowship Hall Fund.
Arrangements were under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland.
