Florence Jones Weiss, 88, of Ravenden died Oct. 28, 2002, at Randolph Nursing Home in Pocahontas.
Born May 16, 1914, in Ravenden, she was the daughter of William and Nora Pack Jones. She married Bill Weiss. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church in Ravenden.
Survivors include a son, Cleave Weiss of Cave City; a daughter, June Pinkston of Pocahontas; two brothers -- Hubert Jones of Tucson, Ariz., and Enoch Jones of Maynard; a sister, Ruby Goans of Tucson; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers -- Earl Pack and Elson Jones; four sisters -- Margie McCoy, Mattie Spencer, Virginia Wood and Leva Needham.
A graveside service was Oct. 31 at Bradford Cemetery in Ravenden with Perry Vandergriff officiating.
Pallbearers were Tony Jones, Ernie Jones, Gary Ratliff, Tommy Schoe, Everett Songer, and Geno Pinkston.
Arrangements were under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Services Inc. of Walnut Ridge.
