Glenn D. Albrecht, 62, of Hardy died July 6, 2003, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
Born Feb. 23, 1941, at Gary, Ind., he was the son of Dortha Albrecht. He was a retired railroad engineer with EJ&E Railroad, a Mason, a Shriner and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Area 2766 in Indiana. He was Catholic.
Survivors include his wife, Pearl Albrecht of the home; five sons -- Glenn Albrecht Jr. of Batesville, Terry Albrecht of Germany, Joe Albrecht of Palm Springs, Calif., William Albrecht of South Haven, Ind., and Tim Albrecht of Lake Station, Ind.; a stepson, James Cain of Cherokee Village; four stepdaughters -- Joyce Cain and Brenda Holiday, both of Hardy, Ava Hancock of Idaho, and Lisa Cain of Oregon; two brothers -- Richard Albrecht of Washington and Donald Albrecht of Milwaukee, Wis.; 23 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, May Albrecht; and a brother, Larry Albrecht.
A memorial service with Masonic Rites was July 10 at the Masonic Lodge in Hardy. A private family memorial in the Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens at Schereville, Ind., will be held at a later date.
