George Dale Spurlock, 43, of Evening Shade died Dec. 4, 2003, near his home.
Born Feb. 5, 1960, at Batesville, he was the son of Paschal G. and Johnnie L. Wolfe Spurlock. He was a barber, a truck driver and of the Church of Christ faith.
Survivors include his parents -- Paschal and Johnnie Spurlock of Evening Shade; two daughters -- Cori Conyers and Sara Pickren, both of Mount Pleasant; a dear friend, Mattie Spurlock of Mount Pleasant; a sister and brother-in-law -- Renee and Chan Bailey of Evening Shade; and a nephew and niece-in-law -- Shannon and Amanda Bailey of Jonesboro.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents -- W.L. "Red" and Lula Spurlock, and "Pete" and Opha Wolfe.
A graveside service was Dec. 10 at Evening Shade Cemetery with Brian Hull officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Randy Spurlock, Andy Spurlock, Rick Spurlock, Vaden Spurlock, Rusty Spurlock, Rodney Spurlock, Mike Felts, Mick Felts, John Harrison and Eric Wood.
Honorary pallbearers were B.J. Wood, Sean Bailey, Dexter Boswell, Joe Colvin, Tony Stuntz, J.D. Peason and Jason Bickford.
