Geraldine P. McNeight, 76, of Cherokee Village died June 20, 2004, in Cherokee Village.
Born Feb. 18, 1928, in Dunkirk, N.Y., she was the daughter of Reul and Cecil Hesch Proper.
She married Gene H. McNeight Nov. 21, 1947, in Dunkirk. She moved with her husband to Cherokee Village 10 years ago from Sterling Heights, Mich. While living in Cherokee Village, she was a member of the Cherokee Village Players and was a volunteer for the Ladies Hospital Auxiliary. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Gene H. McNeight of the home; a daughter, Colleen A. Wise of Cherokee Village; two sons -- V. Clark McNeight of Beverly Hills, Fla., and Charles McNeight of Rochester Hills, Mich.; a sister, Joyce Donnelly of Highland Village, Texas; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard R. Proper.
A memorial service was June 25 at Cherokee Village United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ron Durham officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Cherokee Village United Methodist Church memorial fund.
Arrangements were under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland.
