Geraldine Francis Miller, 85, of Williford, died Jan. 12, 2006, at her residence.
She worked for 23 years at the Ash Flat Wal-Mart as a checker. She was 57 years old when she started working there and retired at the age of 80. She received many awards during her employment.
She was born July 4, 1920, in Goodman, Mo., the daughter of the late John Lewis and Mable Beatrice Mishler Neumann. She married Mark Miller on March 26, 1942, in Anderson, Mo.
Survivors include her husband, Mark Miller; one son, Mark Paul Miller of Hardy; a daughter, Mary Powell of Ozark Acres; two brothers, Fred Neumann of Neosho, Mo., and Sam Neumann of Carl Junction, Mo.; a sister, Susie Williams of Wichita, Kan.; two grandchildren, Michelle Rogers and Tom Powell of Jonesboro; two great-grandchildren, Hannah Powell and Macey Powell of Jonesboro; and two special friends, Vickie Foster and Laura Fitzpatrick.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, John Neumann; and a sister, Eileen Divine.
The funeral service was held Jan. 19 with Rev. Gaylon Russell officiating. Burial followed in Baker Cemetery in Williford. Arrangements were under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel in Highland.
Pallbearers were Kevin Dillard, Johnny Byers, Jerry Powell, John Liar, Donald Collins and Johnny Neumann.
Honorary pallbearers were Dr. George Jackson, Sonny Powell and Mike Alexander.
