George Foreman Russell, 63, of Blytheville died July 14, 2004, at his home.
Born May 18, 1941, in Mountain Home, he was the son of Lige and Amy Louella Jones Russell.
He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a retired carpenter, a member of the Carpenter's Union in Chicago and Little Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Poughkeepsie.
Survivors include two sons -- Michael Russell of Greenbrier, and George Russell of Blytheville; a daughter, Jennifer Lafferty of Bella Vista; two brothers -- James "Red" Russell of Augusta, Kan., and Dewan Russell of Batesville; two sisters -- Carmaleta Slater of Wichita, Kan., and Olena Bailey of Ash Flat; 12 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service was July 20 at Little Springs Missionary Baptist Church at Poughkeepsie with Tony Stuntz officiating. Interment with military honors followed in Spotts Cemetery in Poughkeepsie with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
