Hazel Beatrice Adair, 87, of Magazine died July 21, 2003, at Booneville Community Hospital.
Born Aug. 13, 1915, in Havana, she was the daughter of Albert Franklin and Mary Fannie Carpenter Baker. She retired after 22 years as a telephone operator for the Booneville Sanitarium. She was a homemaker and mother and was a member of Moores Chapel Community Church in Waveland.
Survivors include a son, Lyndon Adair of Magazine; a daughter, Donnie Adair Easley of Cherokee Village; a brother, Glynn Baker of Monticello; two sisters -- Ruth VanZandt of Danville, and Estell French of Van Buren; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Julis Adair, and a son, Vernon Adair.
The funeral was July 23 at Moores Chapel Community Church with Rev. Jim Robinson officiating. Interment was in Moores Chapel Cemetery with arrangements by Cornwell Funeral Home of Danville.
Pallbearers were Steve Adair, Ronnie Easley, Mark Easley, James VanZandt, Dale Baker and Greg Adair.
