Harold Clinton Smith, 55, of Poughkeepsie died Sept. 7, 2002, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
Born Aug. 18, 1947, at Batesville, he was the son of Raymond Linford and Naomi Medlock Smith. He owned and operated Smith's Grocery Store in Poughkeepsie for many years and was a member of Poughkeepsie Church of Christ.
Survivors include his mother of Poughkeepsie; a brother, Charles Smith of Poughkeepsie; two aunts -- Addie Runsick of Poughkeepsie, and Marie Bryant of Kansas City, Kan.; an uncle, Tommy Medlock of St. Louis; a niece, Nancy Ann Smith McGuire of Poughkeepsie; a great-niece, Brittany McGuire of Poughkeepsie; and a great-nephew, Bryce McGuire of Poughkeepsie.
He was preceded in death by his father; and his grandparents, Otto and Bertha Smith, and Charley and Fannie Medlock.
The funeral was Sept. 10 at Poughkeepsie Church of Christ with Troy Henley officiating. Burial followed in Spotts Cemetery at Poughkeepsie.
Arrangements were under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Jim Baxter, Arnell Russell, Terry Heath, Gene Moore, Bill Thompson, and James Bristow.
