Harold Dean Hamilton, 77, of Cherokee Village died June 15, 2003, at Pioneer Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Melbourne.
Born March 1, 1926, in Saline County, Ill., he was the son of Cecil Hamilton and Augusta Hedges Hamilton. He married Jewell Imboden in Chicago in 1948. He retired from Sears as a customer service manager after working for the company for 31 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II. He moved to Cherokee Village 23 years ago from Toledo, Ohio. He was a Mason and a Shriner. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and the VFW.
Survivors include his wife, Jewell of the home; two sons-- Allan Hamilton of Toledo, Ohio, and David Hamilton of Cherokee Village; a half-sister, Rosemary Baker of Muncie, Ind.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
The funeral was June 19 at Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia, Ill. Burial followed in the Bethel Cemetery in Harrisburg, Ill.
