Homer Jake O'Neal, 89, of Glencoe died Feb. 4, 2003, at the Eastern Ozarks Regional Health System in Cherokee Village.
Born Aug. 2, 1913, in Sikeston, Mo., he was the son of Mary Blanch Mathison O'Neal and Homer Oscar O'Neal. He was a farmer/furnace operator.
Survivors include his wife, Bonita M. O'Neal of Glencoe; 10 sons -- Bruce O'Neal and David O'Neal, both of Indiana, Dale O'Neal and Jonathon O'Neal, both of California, Joe O'Neal and Homer Jabe O'Neal Jr., both of Florida, Randy O'Neal and Donald O'Neal, both of Arkansas, and Glen O'Neal and Richard O'Neal, both of Michigan; 14 daughters -- Ruth Clark and Jeanne O'Neal, both of Kentucky, Linda Crawford, Catherine Meagher and Doris Swor, all of Florida, Norma Dupree and Laura Hudson, both of California, Diane Evans of Arkansas, Rebecca Speck of Michigan, Mary Ann Gibson and Louise White, both of South Carolina, Helen Small of North Carolina, June Ryan and Dorothy Wheeler, both of Indiana; a brother, Spencer O'Neal of Florida; a sister, Dorothy Williams of Illinois; many grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Darrel O'Neal.
The funeral was Feb. 7 at Heath Oak Hill chapel with Larry Green officiating. Burial was in Baxter Memorial Park in Mountain Home.
