Harold Lloyd Parks Sr., age 91, of Oakland City, Ind., died Dec. 7, 2002.
Born Aug. 13, 1911, in Rensselaer, Ind., he was the son of Charles and Hattie Parks. He was a former resident of both Hardy and Gary, Ind., before moving to Oakland City. He was a retired oil refinery foreman. While a resident of Hardy, he was a member of the Hardy Lions Club.
Survivors include six sons -- Wallace Parks of Oakland City, Ind., Robert Parks of Elgin, Ill., James Parks of Fort Smith, Douglas Parks of Griffith, Ind., Harold Parks Jr. of Ocala, Fla., and Boyd Parks of Westville, Ind; three daughters -- Jackie Jones of Salt Lake City, Beverly Powell of Hopkinsville, Ky., and Patricia Straka of Munster, Ind.; a brother, Russell Parks of Fair Oaks, Ind.; four sisters -- Jennie Gardner of Rockwall, Texas, Grace Pampel of Remington, Ind., Helen Griffin of Rensselaer, and Lilly Hayes of Mason, Mich.; 41 grandchildren; 105 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral was Dec. 13 at Jackson Funeral Chapel in Rensselaer with the Rev. Kenin Smith officiating. Burial was in Barkley Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Jackson Funeral Chapel in Rensselaer.
