Huberthina "Bertha" Maria Schultz, 96, of Cherokee Village died Sept. 25, 2002, at Eastern Ozarks Regional Health System.
Born Dec. 2, 1905, in Venlo, The Netherlands, she was the daughter of Marie Nys and Joe Nys. She was a retired baker from Hardy's Holsom Bakery of Flint, Mich., and was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church of Cherokee Village.
Survivors include a son, Walter "Wally" and Joyce Schultz of Cherokee Village; four grandchildren -- Jeanne L. Kearby, David W Schultz, Danny R. Schultz, and Nancy A. Fry; nine great-grandchildren, Che Kearby, Michael Kearby, Quinn Kearby, Reed Kearby, Steven Schultz, Jason Schultz, Stephanie Schultz, Hillary Fry, and Rachael Fry; a great-great-grandchild ,Jefferson Kearby; and a brother and sister-in-law -- Mitchell and Frances Nys of Tucson, Ariz.
The funeral was Sept. 28 at Heath Oak Hill Chapel of Hardy with Jim Thompson officiating. Burial followed in Bronaugh Cemetery at Hardy.
Arrangements were under the direction of Heath Funeral Home of Hardy.
