Harry William Mueller, age 73, of Horseshoe Bend, formerly of Greenfield, Wis., died Dec. 23, 2006, at his home in Horseshoe Bend. He was born Nov. 18, 1933, to Bruno and Alma Hintz Mueller in Wauwatosa, Wis.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
He married Louise Adeline Captain on May 9, 1959. He worked as a mechanic at Schwerman Trucking Company for 36 years.
He was an active member of the honorary police of Horseshoe Bend for 15 years. He was a member of the Horseshoe Bend Lions Club, Wisconsin Club, Recycling, Boating and Fishing Club. He was a faithful member of St. Mary of the Mount Catholic Church in Horseshoe Bend where he served as an usher and was a member of the activities committee.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Mueller, of the home; two sons, David (Karie) Mueller of Brookfield, Wis., and Steven Mueller of Shawano, Wis.; two daughters, Sharon (Earl) Schumacher of New Berlin, Wis., and Diane Lewis and her fiance Ed Moe of Beloit, Wis.; four brothers, Ronald (Arlene) Mueller of Ft. Myers, Fl., Richard (Gladys) Mueller of Horseshoe Bend, William (Joan) Mueller of Withee, Wis., and Robert (Glenda) Mueller of Greenfield, Wis.; one sister-in-law, Dianne Mueller of Richfield, Wis.; eight grandchildren, Candace Lewis of Milwaukee, Wis., Michael Matthew and Stephanie Schumacher of New Berlin, Daniel and Maria Mueller of Brookfield, Wis., Shawn Lewis of Milwaukee, and Traci Edwards of Sheboygan, Wis.; two great-grandchildren, Lauryn and Johnathan Edwards of Sheboygan; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Melvin and Ralph Mueller; and one infant sister, Audrey Mueller.
A funeral mass was held Dec. 29 at St. Mary of the Mount in Horseshoe Bend with Father Venantius Preske officiating. A Rosary service was held with Larry Heike officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the St. Mary of the Mount Catholic Church or a local charity.
