Icie Ferguson, 88, a lifetime resident of Myron, died May 10, 2005, at Fulton County Hospital in Salem.
Born Aug. 26, 1916, in Peace Valley, Ark., she was the daughter of Jessie and Delia Allen Jackson. She married Leroy Ferguson Aug. 24, 1935, in Peace Valley. She was a housewife and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, Leroy Ferguson; a daughter, Willie Jean Pratt of East Wenatchee, Wash.; four granddaughters -- Shelia Ferguson McCawley of Memphis, Brenda Sharp of Evening Shade, Teresa Golla of Romance, and Donna Coe of Wenatchee; two great-grandsons -- Matthew Coe of Wenatchee, and Gus Sharp of Evening Shade; two great-granddaughters -- Monica Sharp and Lorah Jean Sharp, both of Evening Shade.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Harold Lee Ferguson; three brothers -- Jessie Jackson, Tee Jackson and Alvie Jackson; and two sisters -- Mattie Jones and Nellie Dowdy.
The funeral was May 12 at Myron Baptist Church with burial following at Godwin Cemetery at Myron. Michael Stinnett officiated.
Arrangements were under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Service Inc. of Hardy.
Pallbearers were Billie Golla, Darrly McCauley, Franky Sharp, Kendall Stroud, Steve Bates and Edward Bates.
Honorary pallbearers were Robert Jackson, Nathan Jack-son, Lloyd Jackson and John W. Sharp.
