Jeffrey Allan Jones, age 53, of Evening Shade died Sept. 22, 2006, at his home.
He was born April 27, 1953, at Sacramento, Calif., to Richard and Clara Jones. He served 22 years of combined service in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force, served in the Vietnam War and was employed by the Arkansas State Police working with concealed weapons. He was a member of Barnett Baptist Church in Little Rock.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one stepson, Jackie Lemons.
Survivors include his wife, Viola (Lemons) Jones of the home; three stepdaughters, Beverly Webb of Little Rock, JoAnn Eslick of Sheridan, and Marjorie Purvis of Little Rock; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A graveside memorial service was held Oct. 4 at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at North Little Rock. Arrangements were by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
