John Ernest Cunningham, 70, of Salem died April 22, 2003, at Salem.
Born March 21, 1933, at Camp, he was the son of Willis Ernest and Johnnie Florence Hall Cunningham. He married Sherry A. Ellis Dec. 20, 1963, at Cave City. He spent his working years as a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a night watchman. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, and was of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include two sons -- Donnie Cunningham of Salem, and Greg Cunningham of Evening Shade; two daughters -- Julie Duncan of Ash Flat, and Tammy King of Pocahontas; a sister, Lois Kincade of Salem; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and a granddaughter, Kimberly.
The body was cremated. Arrangements were under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem.
Burial was in the Salem, Cemetery.
