Jimmy Dale Bristow, 65, of Cave City, Ark., died Jan. 6, 2008, at his home. He was born Dc. 21, 1942, at Ash Flat, Ark., the son of Samuel Tillman and Sarah Irene (Roberts) Bristow.
He was a United States Army veteran having served in Vietnam, a mechanic for Cave City School and of the Church of Christ faith.Survivors include: his wife, Inez (Mobley) Bristow of the home; one son, Byron Bristow of Cave City; one granddaughter, Madison Kate Bristow of Cord Charlotte; two brothers, Gordon Bristow and Junior Bristow both of Cave City; five sisters, Minnie Estes, Derlene Rogers and Donna Ables all of Cave City, Betty Goodman of Evening Shade and Bessie Sue Booth of Salem; several nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by: his parents; and one brother, Leonard "Bill" Bristow.Funeral services were Jan. 9 at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City with Bro. Wayne Goodman officiating. Burial followed in the Maxville Cemetery located north of Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Pallbearers were Richard Penn, Charlie Clinton, Tom Penn, Pete Ring, Ronnie Ashley, Russell Fowler, Eddie Turner, David Hall and Ed Turnbough.Honorary pallbearers were his nephews, nieces and friends.
