Joshua Gene Garrison, 18, of Batesville died Oct. 7, 2003, at Batesville.
Born Oct. 16, 1984, at Batesville, he was the son of Teresa and Bear Franks and Terry Garrison. He earned his high school diploma from the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville and attended Believers Community Church in Batesville. He was involved in advanced martial arts and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his parents; a sister, Sheina West of Batesville; a stepsister, Lynette Griffis of Concord; his grandparents -- Barb and Ken Rawlings of Batesville, Bill and Carol Bristow of Tulsa, Okla., Mike and Carol Franks of Cushman, Nina Ellis of Batesville, and Gene and Betty Garrison of Stuttgart; great-grandparents -- Zana Hoggard of Batesville, Irene Bristow of Cave City, Geraldine Rawlings of Cave City, and Barbara Wilson of Cushman; two uncles -- Jodie Bristow of Batesville and Bo Crock of Cave City; and three aunts -- Tina Garrison of Batesville, Robyn Wilson of Kansas City, and Michelle Crock of Cave City.
The funeral was Oct. 11 at Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. David Insell officiating. Burial followed in Maxville Cemetery north of Cave City. Arrangements were by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.
Pallbearers were Larry Franks, Jeremy Harmon, Michael Franks, Hugh Preller, Eric Nast and Wimp Franks.
