Junior Ray Huett, 62, of Goff, Kan., died Aug. 6, 2003, at a Topeka hospital.
Born Aug. 2, 1941, in Salem, he was the son of Vernon Ray and Carrie Marie Maguffee Huett. He graduated from Salem High School in 1960.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was also stationed in Germany. He worked in Chevrolet Manufacturing for General Motors in Flint, Mich., for 31 years. He moved to Goff in 1997. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 659 and West Side Auto Workers Credit Union in Flint. He was a member of the VFW in Goff.
He married Linda B. Jasman Jan. 26, 1969, in Flint.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Roy Allen Huett of Auburn, Mich.; four daughters -- Jerry Lynn Sowers of Effingham, Kan., Jessie May Kreuzburg of Goff, Samantha Belle Huett of Midland, Mich., and Briana Kay Lynn Huett of the home; a sister, Betty Jo McClure of Hardy; and 20 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, James Wayne Huett, in 1970; and a brother, Robert E. Huett in 1994.
The funeral was Aug. 9 at Cox-Blevins Chapel in Salem. Burial was in Salem Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home.
