Jasper Harold Hutchison Jr. 54, of Evening Shade died Dec. 11, 2003, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
Born Nov. 30, 1949, at Waco, Texas, he was the son of Jasper H. Hutchison Sr. and Lydia Duncan Hutchison of Evening Shade.
He was a financial advisor for American Express and a member of Believers Community Church. He was a lifetime member of ASCAP (a musical license group), a singer, dancer, and actor with the musical "Hair." He headed the group Topaz, and was produced by Bob Dylan's producers at Columbia Records. As a boy he was active in the school band and Boy Scouts.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Burgin Hutchison of Evening Shade; two sons -- Aaron Jasper Hutchison and Stefan Kenneth Hutchison, both of Evening Shade; a daughter, Malina Stephanie Hutchison of Evening Shade; a sister, Claudia Leigh Marsh of Evening Shade; and a nephew, Mark Jeffery Marsh II of Batesville.
He was preceded in death by his father.
The funeral service was Dec. 13 at Believers Community Church with David Insell officiating. Burial was in Sharp Cemetery at Evening Shade with arrangements under the direction of Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Fred Ahlborn, Gary Chester, Chuck Drumheller, Mark Marsh, Ronald Qualls, Luke Walker and Kent Weiand.
A memorial scholarship fund has been set up for his children at FNBC, P.O. Box 8, Ash Flat, AR 72513.
