Julia Kathryn Taylor, 75, died April 5, 2004, in Mammoth Spring.
Born Jan. 10, 1929, in Hardy, she was the daughter of Horace Phelps and Lela Morgan Phelps. She married Jack Charles Taylor July 4, 1946, in Hardy.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and was a member of Mammoth Spring First Baptist Church. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law -- Terry Wayne Taylor of Mammoth Spring, and Charles Michael and Donna Taylor of Thayer, Mo.; two grandsons -- Clinton Matthew Taylor and Michael Jacob Taylor, both of Salem; two step-grandchildren -- Robert E. Johnson of Springfield, Mo., and Kali Megan Johnson of Thayer; two brothers -- Lloyd Phelps of Maize, Kan., and Lonnie Phelps of Hardy; and a sister, Jean Bevil of Maumelle.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a grandson, Terry Wayne Taylor Jr.; and two brothers -- Archie and Doyle Phelps.
The funeral was April 8 at Spring River Baptist Church north of Hardy in Fulton County with Bruce Stone and Floyd Rikard officiating. Burial was in Bronaugh Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Carter Funeral Home Inc. of Thayer.
Pallbearers were Nolen Reese, Gary Herrum, Adam Phelps, David Phelps, Ronnie York, Andy Phelps, Jason Sinclair. Alternates were David Phelps and Adam Brown.
