Joan L. Mason Perkins, of Horseshoe Bend, 75, died Feb. 27, 2007, at her home in Horseshoe Bend. She was born Jan. 12, 1932, in San Francisco, Calif., the daughter of the late Walter F. Mason and Helen (Leazer) Mason.
She retired after 28 years employed as an independent insurance agent. She was a member of the International Ministerial Association (IMA) and was of the Apostolic faith. She was a graduate of the Bethany Bible School.
She is survived by: her husband of 47 years, Ernest H. Perkins Sr. of the home; two sons, Ernest H. Perkins, Jr. of El Dorado, Calif., and Marvin Perkins of Japan; one grandchild, Korina Perkins of Arcada, Calif.; and a cousin, Joyce Straub of California.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Patricia Mason.
There will be a private graveside service. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Burial followed at Roberts Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Roller Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne.
