Jack Rikard, 64, of Hardy died Oct. 30, 2002, at his home.
Born May 23, 1938, in Hardy, he was the son of Rosa Delora Frailey Rikard and Oscar Earl Rikard. He was owner and operator of Jack's Diesel of Hardy and was a member of Spring River Baptist Church of Hardy.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Rikard of Hardy; three sons -- Kenneth Rikard of Hardy, Matt Rikard of Hardy, and Tommy Rikard of Indiana; a daughter, Jakie Sue Rikard of Indiana; three brothers -- the Rev. Floyd Rikard of Hardy, James Rikard of Maysville, N.C., and Bobby Rikard of Golden, N.C.; three sisters -- Patricia Fritch of Hardy, Donna Gibson of Tupelo, Miss., Alice Pressley of Hardy; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter.
The funeral was Nov. 1 at Spring River Baptist Church. Burial followed at Bronaugh Cemetery in Hardy.
Arrangements were under the direction of Heath Funeral Home of Hardy.
Pallbearers were Bruce Phillips, Mello, Dave Wiles, Scott Griffin, Marty Turner and Jeff Stroud.
Honorary pallbearers were James Hobbs, Jarrod Hobbs, Lee Sellers and Russ Griffin.
