Jeff Ring, 89, of Cave City died Nov. 10, 2004, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
Born Dec. 12, 1914, at Poughkeepsie, he was the son of Bud Ring and Doll Barnes Ring. He was a retired construction worker and a veteran of the United States Army, having served in World War II. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include three sons -- Jeff Ring of Grady, and Pete Ring and Bobby Ring, both of Cave City; two daughters -- Sharon Ring of Cave City, and Geraldine Ring of Batesville; a brother, Woodrow Ring of Batesville; a sister, Beatrice Morgan of Cave City; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Ring; a son, J.D. Ring; three brothers; and three sisters.
A graveside service was Nov. 13 at Maxville Cemetery with Michael Ring officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Bristow, Bill Hamilton, Bill Gean, Junior Ring, Nick Ring and Jeremy Ring.
