Jimmie Ray Smith, 41, of Cave City died July 3, 2002, at Cave City.
Born July 30, 1960, at Corning, he was a truck driver for Anderson Trucking Company. He served six years in the Army National Guard, was a member of the National Rifle Association and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include two sons, James Richard Smith and Jacob Andrew Smith, both of Russellville; a daughter, Shannon Suzanne Smith of Pangburn; his father and step-mother, Jimmie Ray Smith Sr. and Mary Louise Smith of Cave City; his mother, Barbara Starns of Corning; nine sisters -- Jeanie Dobbs of Springtown, Texas, Rose Marie Whitson of Fort Worth, Texas, Eva Luster of Batesville, Peggy Lewallen of Paragould, twin sister Sadie Palmer of Bald Knob, Cindi Webb of Mount Pleasant, Janis Franks of Batesville, Debi Harrison of Cave City, and Audrey Hollowell of Mount Pleasant; two stepbrothers -- Pat McCarron of Conway and Dan McCarron of Batesville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Monarae Smith; his grandparents, James A. and Hazel Smith, and Louis and Cynthia Spears.
A graveside service was July 6 at Maxville Cemetery north of Cave City with Bruce Qualls officiating.
Pallbearers were Michael Franks, Nathan Franks, Joey Lewallen, Josh Lewallen, Adam Smith, Steve Sanders, Rick Luster, Debi Harrison and Rick Whitson.
Arrangements were under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
