James Reginald Taylor

James Reginald Taylor, 61, of Cherokee Village died Aug. 2, 2006, at White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born May 18, 1945, at Peoria, Ill., the son of Earl Edwin Taylor and Elizabeth (Bleau) Taylor. He was a house painter and enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include one daughter, Anna Zahner of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; two sisters, Charlotte Jordan of Cherokee Village, and Sharon Calvert of Winona, Okla.; seven nieces and nephews, Pamela Woolard of Collins, Ill., Scott Daniel of West Peoria, Ill., Jodie Hughes of Mt. Vernon, Ill., Thomas Jordan of Cherokee Village, Elizabeth Duvall of Lake Isebella, Calif., Richard Knighten of Alaska, and Tina Knighten of Taft, Calif.; and nine great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patricia Taylor; two brothers, Raymond Taylor and Bobby Taylor; one sister, Jeanne Froman; his grandparents; and one niece.

Memorial services were held on Aug. 13 at Cherokee Village Lutheran Church/ELCA with Rev. Joan Ewaldsen officiating. Interment followed in the Cherokee Village Lutheran Church Columbarium at Cherokee Road and Okmulgee in Cherokee Village. Arrangements were under the direction of the Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
