John Rubin Wilson, 95, of Evening Shade, died Dec. 3, 2002, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
Born April 18, 1907, at Vandall, he was the son of John Robert and Lotti May Cook Wilson. He was a farmer and a member of Faith Assembly of God Church at Evening Shade.
Survivors include two sons -- Kenneth Wilson of Bonifay, Fla., and Jimmie Wilson of Holland, Mich.; five daughters -- Marie Drain of Chattanooga, Tenn., Audrey Conway of Evening Shade, Bonnie Burns of Kingswood, Texas, Velma Melton of Austin, Texas, and Wanda Tiermann of Houston; two brothers -- Forrest Wilson of Holland, and Fred Wilson of South Haven, Mich.; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ida Lee Harris Wilson; seven brothers; two sisters; two grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
The funeral was Dec. 6 at Faith Assembly of God Church at Evening Shade with Jerry Brown officiating. Burial followed at Campground Cemetery north of Evening Shade.
Arrangements were under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
