Jessie Waymon Baldridge, 78, of Hardy, died Jan. 17, 2006, at the University of Arkansas Medical Science Center in Little Rock.
He was born Sept. 13, 1927, in the Armstrong Community, near Hardy, the son of Jessie L. Baldridge Sr. and Bessie N. Pruitt Baldridge.
He was united in marriage to Lue Ann Baldridge on Sept. 9, 1949, at Henry Weaver Farm near Hardy. He worked as a carpenter and saw miller, and for his entire life owned and operated his own farm. He was also a member of the Ward Street Church of Christ at Hardy for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Lue Ann Baldridge of the home; two sons, Steve Baldridge of Hardy and Randy Baldridge of The Colony, Texas; one sister, Thelma Rikard of Hardy; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Tommy Baldridge; one brother, Virgil Baldridge; one sister, Anna Lee Byers; and one granddaughter, Christina LuVon Baldridge.
The funeral service was held Jan. 21 at the Ward Street Church of Christ with Bro. Tom O'Neil officiating.
Burial followed in the Perry Cemetery on Martin Creek Road in the Armstrong Community near Hardy with arrangements under the direction of the Higginbotham Funeral Service of Hardy.
Pallbearers were all the grandchildren, Allan Baldridge, Danny Baldridge, Randy Baldridge, Brett Baldridge, Jessica Baldridge and Jamie Bratcher.
