Jane Wooten 63, of East Wenatchee Wash., died May 24, 2007, after a long battle with cancer. She was born Jane Hutchison on June 11, 1943, the daughter of the late Hoytt and Lottie Mae (Owen) Hutchison in Anniston, Ala
She attended elementary, junior high and high school in Anniston. She married Myles Wooten on Dec. 9, 1959, at Buchanan, Ga. She lived in Germany with Myles while he served in the U.S. Army. They have lived in East Wenatchee, Wash., since 1964. Jane and Myles Wooten lived part of the year at their second home near Mammoth Spring and Wirth, Ark. She enjoyed the time she spent there and did volunteer work for the Wirth Volunteer Fire Department.Survivors include: her husband Myles of the home; three children, Glenn of Los Angeles, Calif., Michelle (Wooten) and Jay Tarrant of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Rene' (Wooten) and David Rowton of Washington; three grandchildren, Ashley Brittny, and Cameron; three siblings, Dean (Hutchison) and Jesse Hawthorne of Montgomery, Ala., Charlie and Carolyn Hutchison of Eastaboga, Ala., and Susan (Hutchison) and Neil Smith of Beebe, Ark.; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Anne (Hutchison) Ellis of Oxford, Ala.The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made in Jane's name to: Our House, 1708 Castlerock Ave., Wenatchee, WA 98801. Our House was built so people who came from out of town to have treatments for cancer can have a place to stay and sleep, rest and/or eat.Services were held May 29 at Telford's Chapel in the Valley in East Wenatchee, Wash. Private graveside services were held at Evergreen Memorial Park May 30 with Telford's Chapel of the Valley in charge of the arrangements.
