Miles Edward King, 75, of Ash Flat died Aug. 16, 2003, at Eastern Ozarks Regional Health System in Cherokee Village.
Born Sept. 1, 1927, in Rector, he was the son of Marie Duffel Blan and Jewell King. He was a retired riverboat worker and also retired from the railroad. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Mary King of Hardy; two nephews, Kevin King and Joel King both of Hardy; and a niece, Deanna Strobbe of Hardy.
He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Fred and Marie Blan.
A graveside service was Aug. 19 at Woodland Heights Cemetery at Rector with the Rev. James Henry Dortch officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Heath Funeral Home of Hardy.
