L.B. Rodgers, 86, of Batesville died Feb. 19, 2004, at his home.
Born May 15, 1917, in Newport, she was the son of Eula Bell Dark Rodgers and Inward W. Rodgers. He was employed as a builder of bridge overpasses.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Rodgers of Batesville; three sons -- Dayton Rodgers of Round Rock, Texas, Kenneth Rodgers of Arlington, Texas, and Phillip Rodgers of Malvern; four daughters -- Judy Armstrong of Batesville, Martha Buell of Kansas City, Mo., Margaret Jones of Conway, and Mary Manes of Mountain Home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, R.H. Rodgers; and two sisters -- Kathryn Hall and Mattie Johnson.
The funeral was Feb. 23 at Heath Oak Hill Chapel with Floyd Rikard officiating.
Burial was in Bronaugh Cemetery at Hardy, with arrangements under the direction of Heath Funeral Home of Hardy.
