Lane "Cat" Lejeune, 66, of Ash Flat, Ark., formerly of Evangeline, La., died March 9, 2008, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born Sept. 1, 1941, at Crowley, La., to Emile and Bernice LeJeune.
He was a motor man for Diamond Offshore Drilling Company for 45 years and was of the Catholic faith.Survivors include: his wife, Linda M. LeJeune of Batesville; two sons, Adrian Bailey of Kenner, La., Brandan Lejeune of Batesville; two daughters, Gay Sisk of Ash Flat and Lisa Marcum of Evening Shade; three brothers, Joseph LeJeune, Lubert LeJeune and Perry LeJeune all of Evangeline, La.; three sisters, Lula Leger and Margaret Lejeune both of Evangeline, La., and Brenda Regan of Egan, La.; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.Funeral services were held March 13 at the Faith Assembly of God Church in Evening Shade with Bro. Ricky Poole officiating. Burial followed in the Spotts Cemetery located in Poughkeepsie with arrangements under the direction of the Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Pallbearers were Noah Sisk, Brandan Lejeune, David E. Brannon, Adrian Bailey, Roger Slaughter and Corey Anthony.Honorary pallbearers were David Brannon and Jacob Brannon.
