Lawson "Junior" Dickey, 70, of Cave City died March 23, 2003, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
Born Nov. 19, 1932, at Cave City, he was the son of Lawson and Ethel Eason Dickey. He was a farmer and a Christian.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Dickey of the home; two sons -- Kirby Dickey of Germany, and David Dickey of Cave City; two sisters -- Maxine Anderson and Willene James, both of Cave City; three grandchildren -- Robert Lawson Dickey of Cave City, Brandon Eric Dickey and Michael Anthony Dickey, both of Germany; seven stepgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son; two brothers -- Homer Dickey and Curzy Dickey; and a sister, Chestine Fisher.
The funeral was March 27 at Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with L.J. Gay and Howard Brewer officiating. Burial followed in Fairview Cemetery located east of Cave City.
Pallbearers were David Hites Sr., Steven Walline, Roy Lee Freeman, Robert Earl Anderson, Joey Carpenter and Ronald James.
Arrangements were under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
